Saturday May 19, 2012
9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Glastonbury Abbey
16 Hull St., Hingham, Mass. 02043
"Care for Caregivers" is an interfaith retreat especially for those of us who care for a chronically ill, disabled or aged family member or friend. The retreat will be held Sat., May 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Glastonbury Abbey, 16 Hull St., Hingham, Mass.
Caring for others can be all consuming and leave us feeling exhausted. We often find it all but impossible to meet our own needs as we work tirelessly to ensure the well being of our loved ones. In a warm, supportive environment, we will explore ways in which we can advocate for ourselves while taking care of others. During this retreat, we'll treat ourselves to chair massage, aromatherapy, guided meditation and more!
Early Bird Registration is $50 (before April 1). After April 1, sign up will be $60.00.
Care for Caregivers includes
-- Unique worship, spiritual exercises and large and small group discussions
facilitated by Lindsay McGrath M.Div.
-- Gentle yoga and stretching designed to help alleviate stress with Naomi Goodman MPH.
-- Refreshing Chair Massage with Jennifer Jensen LMT and therapists from Healing Touch Therapies, Scituate, Mass.
-- Instruction in Aromatherapy techniques and more!
-- A delicious lunch, snacks and beverages throughout the day.
