If you are looking for a yoga class in the Hudson Valley designed for people living with movement disorders I invite you to join me and a group of warm-hearted individuals at Arbor Ridge at Brookmeade in Rhinebeck, New York on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 - 10:45 am for an hour and 15 minutes of chair yoga. We use the chairs as props, using them to help us stabilize ourselves, find our balance and to anchor us in the present.
To learn more about this class and other chair yoga classes that you might enjoy in the Hudson Valley, please visit my website at
www.terryschaff.com. Yoga is for everyone. If we can bring our best selves to the effort, then we can let go a little bit, relax our breath, and develop an observer's mind to enjoy being present in the moment. Each of us is a different story. Our bodies, minds and spirit tell our tales up to now. But none of us are a finished book. So if we can come to yoga with the state of mind, body and spirit to do what we can, with what we have, where we are now we can learn to cast judgment aside and to begin to enjoy ourselves. None of us are a finished book, we can learn to honor ourselves, appreciate where we have been, savor where we are now and plant the seeds today through our yoga practice for where we would like to be tomorrow, taking a wisdom path with joy and humor. Namaste.
